Terms and Conditions of Service


Effective Date: 1 June 2026


These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by AC Tyre Specialists (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Our Services

AC Tyre Specialists provides 24-hour mobile tyre fitting, tyre replacement, puncture repairs (where safe and legally permitted), wheel balancing, valve replacement, and related roadside tyre services throughout Scotland’s Central Belt and surrounding areas.

All work is carried out in accordance with current UK legislation, British Standards, and tyre industry best practices.


2. Booking a Service


When making a booking you agree that:

  • The information you provide is accurate.
  • You are authorised to request work on the vehicle.
  • The vehicle is legally yours or you have permission from the owner.
  • The location is safe and accessible for our service vehicle.


We reserve the right to refuse service if a location is considered unsafe.


3. Call-Out Charges


A call-out fee may apply depending on:

  • Your location
  • Time of day
  • Emergency or out-of-hours attendance
  • Distance travelled

Any call-out fee will be confirmed before work begins.

Call-out fees are generally non-refundable once our technician has been dispatched.


4. Prices


All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£).


Prices may include:

  • Mobile attendance
  • Labour
  • Tyres
  • Valves
  • Wheel balancing
  • Disposal of old tyres where applicable


Additional charges may apply for:


  • Specialist tyres/wheels (beadlocks)
  • Locking wheel nut removal if required 
  • Corroded or damaged wheels
  • TPMS servicing or replacement
  • Additional labour outside normal fitting procedures


5. Payment


Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We accept:


  • Debit cards
  • Credit cards (excluding AMEX)
  • Bank transfer
  • Cash (where accepted)


Vehicles may not be released until payment has been received where applicable.

Failure to pay may result in debt recovery proceedings and recovery of any associated costs permitted by law.


6. Cancellation


If you cancel after a technician has been dispatched, a cancellation charge may apply.

If we arrive and:


  • the vehicle is no longer present,
  • the customer cannot be contacted,
  • or the work cannot proceed due to circumstances outside our control,

the agreed call-out charge remains payable.



7. Customer Responsibilities


The customer is responsible for ensuring:


  • the vehicle is parked safely;
  • adequate working space is available;
  • locking wheel nut keys are supplied where fitted;
  • wheel nuts have not previously been damaged or overtightened.


We are not responsible for delays caused by missing locking wheel nut keys or unsafe working conditions.


8. Tyres Supplied


All tyres supplied are suitable for UK road use.

Where requested, we may supply:


  • Premium tyres
  • Mid-range tyres
  • Budget tyres


Unless otherwise stated, tyre brand availability cannot be guaranteed until confirmed with our suppliers.

Equivalent alternatives may be offered.


9. Puncture Repairs


Puncture repairs are only carried out where they comply with:


  • British Standard BS AU 159
  • Current tyre industry repair guidelines


Not every puncture is legally repairable.

If a tyre cannot be repaired safely, replacement will be recommended.


10. Warranty


New tyres are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.


Our workmanship is guaranteed for 30 days from the date of fitting.

This warranty does not cover:


  • Impact damage
  • Kerbing
  • Road hazards
  • Under-inflation
  • Overloading
  • Misalignment
  • Suspension faults
  • Deliberate damage
  • Normal wear and tear


Warranty claims may require inspection before approval.


11. Wheel Nuts and Locking Nuts


We take reasonable care during removal and installation.

We cannot accept responsibility for:


  • previously damaged wheel studs/bolts
  • seized wheel nuts
  • cross-threaded fixings
  • defective locking wheel nuts
  • aftermarket locking systems that fail during removal.


12. TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems)


Where fitted, we will take reasonable care when working around TPMS sensors.

Due to age, corrosion or previous damage, sensors may fail during tyre removal.

We cannot accept liability for failures resulting from existing defects.

Replacement sensors will be chargeable unless covered by manufacturer warranty.


13. Roadside Assistance


We will only carry out roadside work where it is safe to do so.


Our technician may refuse work if:


  • traffic conditions present unacceptable risk;
  • weather conditions make work unsafe;
  • the ground is unstable;
  • police or highways authorities instruct otherwise.

Safety always takes priority.



14. Limitation of Liability


Nothing within these Terms limits your statutory rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AC Tyre Specialists shall not be liable for:


  • loss of earnings;
  • consequential losses;
  • missed appointments;
  • business interruption;
  • delays caused by suppliers;
  • adverse weather;
  • traffic;
  • circumstances beyond our reasonable control.


Our liability is limited to the value of the services supplied except where prohibited by law.


15. Used Tyres


Where used tyres are supplied by customer (only when specifically agreed), they will:


  • comply with UK legal requirements;
  • be pressure tested where appropriate;
  • have no exposed cords or structural damage;
  • meet the legal minimum tread depth.


16. Disposal of Old Tyres


Removed tyres become our property unless the customer requests to retain them before work is completed.

All Tyres are disposed of using licensed waste management facilities where applicable.


17. Privacy


We only collect personal information necessary to:


  • complete your booking;
  • process payments;
  • provide customer support;
  • comply with legal obligations.


Your information will never be sold to third parties.


18. Complaints


If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us as soon as possible.

We aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

19. Governing Law


These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
